About Brian Schnitz

Born and raised in Indiana, I am a highly motivated photographer, cinematographer, and editor with a myriad of experience. My education consists of a BA in Communication from Indiana University emphasizing in new media and film. I have experience in broadcast television from Telemundo Indy as a photographer, studio camera operator, and editor. I've also photographed and directed videos for local business like NUVO magazine, People for Urban Progress, The Village Dance Studio, and The School of Rock. My passion for all things photography and video has continued to be a driving force in my life, and has shown me that having a career in what you love most can be extremely rewarding. Organization and Communication Skills: I pride myself on having excellent communication and organizational skills. Being able to effectively communicate ideas and plans to clients and co-workers is extremely important in maintaining an effective, efficient, and professional work place. Keeping an open mind and allowing oneself to learn new things is extremely important in todays fast paced and highly digitized society. In addition to being an effective communicator, staying organized is also critical in maintaining a consistent, reliable, and efficient workflow and product. Whether it be logistics, client management, or the way I organize files on my computer, I've always prided myself on staying organized. Technical Skills: I have experience with all of the major NLE's (non-linear editors or video editing software) including Avid, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. I'm also efficient in Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects. I'm familiar with advanced post-production techniques like color correction lut curve applications, and overall image enhancement. I am also highly proficient and knowledgable with DSLR cameras, professional HD cameras and camcorders, advanced lighting techniques, dolly systems, ENG audio equipment, and more.
