I am: A BUSINESS LEADER, INNOVATOR, STRATEGIST—I have started and run several successful businesses; raised over $1B in startup capital; managed staffs of up to 75 people; and served as CEO/President/Chairman. I led a technology company from startup to $7M in annual revenues in three years, and successfully guided a company through the post-9/11 fallout that saw our industry shrink by 40% and many long-time competitors close up shop. A TEAM LEADER with outstanding COMMUNICATION SKILLS—I've built high-performing executive teams; taught and mentored students, peers, and executives; and I have passion for building teams that deliver dreams. I've been invited to be a motivational speaker for a number of professional groups. A CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS EXPERT—I've developed and executed international product launches for small businesses to Fortune 100 companies; analyzed and strategized new products and product positioning; written speeches and created presentations for senior executives; written award-winning annual reports, technical articles, and news releases; and managed crisis communications. I started a monthly industry magazine that still dominates its market 18 years later. A MARKETING EXPERT—I served as VP of Marketing for many years while working with startups, from small businesses to $300M companies. I developed effective go-to-market strategies, sales presentations, training materials, and sales collateral. A CAPITAL RAISER—I recently raised financing for SJ Global Hydroponics International (SJGH), a new company that is advancing the science of growing clean, high-quality produce and derivative products at a scale that will lift the lives of people globally while revolutionizing the science of vegetable production and distribution. SJGH is building the world's largest hydroponic greenhouses. Initial projects are slotted for the US and Europe, with plans to expand to Africa and the Mideast.
