About Britt Evans

As an instructional designer, I am passionate about creating engaging and memorable learning experiences for all learners. I started my journey in this field at a non-profit organization, where I worked with young people who had been let down by traditional education. To capture their attention and make learning enjoyable, I incorporated elements of their favorite shows, such as the Ultimate Fighting Challenge, into my lessons formatted as an interview game (no violence included, of course!). This experience ignited my love for instructional design, and I went on to pursue a master's degree in the field. Using established theories and insights from leading experts, I design comprehensive and effective learning experiences that consider the way the brain learns and incorporates emotional intelligence to enhance outcomes. I love using spiral curriculums that build on previous lessons and relate to real-world situations, making learning fun and engaging. As a strategist and empathetic leader, I take pride in building new connections and relationships with subject matter experts to design experiences that truly resonate and make a meaningful impact relying on teamwork. I have a proven track record of delivering impactful results in my career and working strategically to problem solve. I launched and oversaw a competency mapping project to enhance employee training, developed a 4-week virtual leadership curriculum with supporting retention activities, and redesigned a 2-week onboarding program for a sales team that resulted in increased knowledge retention. I am also proud of my work expanding a sales training program to include neuroscience-backed retention tools and designing and developing product knowledge e-modules using educational technology like Articulate 360. However, my proudest accomplishment to date is the design and development of a 16-week, instructor-led, in-person training curriculum that helped young people gain career advancement across five different industries. After implementing the changes to the curriculum, we saw a job placement rate of 98% across all industries. This was an incredible achievement and reinforced my commitment to creating learning experiences that inspire and empower learners to grow, both personally and professionally. With extensive experience facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions, I have fine-tuned my skills as an instructional designer and facilitator. I also have a keen graphic design eye.
