Whether it be in my history as a leader in the financial world, or as an executive in the charitable sector, I am led by my deeply held values of integrity, collaboration, community building, and equity. My talents lie in revealing the growth potential of every challenge, finding creative and equitable ways to invest in people, and tackling complex problems with innovative solutions. In my current role as Executive Director at Cowichan Women Against Violence Society, I strive everyday to live the values of anti-violence practice, trauma-informed care, social justice advocacy, and feminist collaborative leadership. I transition easily between high-level ideation and big-picture thinking and the daily practicalities of leading an organization that employs approximately 75 individuals and serves over 4,200 clients a year. My leadership in the charitable sector is bolstered by my strong financial and business acumen gleaned from 20 years experience in the corporate sector. Supporting the scaling of portfolios, growing highly successful entrepreneurial ventures, and collaborating with national scale organizations, has given me the experience needed to successfully work with the vast variety of stakeholders present in the charitable sphere, including provincial and federal governing bodies, public and private funders, private sector businesses, and more.
