About Bruce Watson

I am a humanistic leader who ensures strategic and values alignment throughout the organisation and a developer of people to increase capability and capacity in preparation for the next unknown. Having worked in key roles within government agencies, unions, mining and financial services industries along with small business, I believe the experience gained has enabled me to be a well developed politically astute achiever of strong sustainable results. I inspire and encourage people to focus on organisational improvement through transformational change and use of technology to build high customer engagement and sustainable stakeholder value. During my 10+ year tenure as Group CEO of (AUSCOAL Super) the business grew from 30 employees to over 200 as the funds under management grew from circa $3b to $10b. Ratings moved from the bottom 35% to the top 15% and the organisation was recognised as a "Top 50 Best Place to Work" for the last 7 consecutive years. In 2010 I was most humbled to be awarded the prestigious "Executive of the Year" Award by the Fund Executive Association Limited. During my career I have led and successfully implemented many mergers and acquisitions.
