Head of Research at Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority of Ireland). I mostly work on projects of a strageic or developmental nature. Prior to joining Fáilte Ireland I worked for eight years in management consulting. I began my professional career as an academic economist. Direct experience covers: project management; economic appraisals; investment appraisals; policy analysis; sectoral advocacy and case-making. A graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, I hold a Masters Degree in Economics, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Diploma in Financial Management. I am also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Possessing a unique combination of financial qualifications and economic experience, I bring innovative approaches to problem solving and highly developed strategic analytical skills.I have successfully managed major multi-disciplinary projects which demonstrate my leadership, consultative skills and influencing ability. I am well versed in making efficient use of senior management’s time and decision making capacity regarding strategic decision making and forward planning. I work well under pressure and am a reliable team player.
