About Caitlin Cook

A multi-hyphenate creator with a passion for eliminating stigma through the power of storytelling. I started my career in film, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2019. When it felt like filmmaking was no longer calling my name, I took my skills to grad school at California State University, Northridge, where I got my Master's in Mass Communication. While at CSUN, I learned to interview, report, and edit in both print and broadcast journalism. I did this through student organizations, such as The Sundial, and field work, such as my internship at dot.LA. My thesis project earned me numerous accolades at CSUN, such as the Outstanding Thesis Project Award and the Association of Retired Faculty Memorial Award. I also earned membership in Kappa Tau Alpha for academic excellence, along with the Top Scholar Award for having the highest GPA in my class. I am currently working on my first full-length book while selling zines of my work online and at zine fairs and comic cons.
