About Cal Talley

Cal is a graduate of Northwood University. He also attended The Executive Program University of Michigan Business School and participated in the Hartford Leadership Development Program. As a Great Lakes Bay community member, Cal completed the Vision Tri-county Leadership Institute. He served as a board member for the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), Bay Future Inc, The Bay Area Chamber of commerce, and the Bridge for Racial Harmony in Saginaw, Michigan. Cal served as the COO for Youth Development Corporation USA, focusing on bringing together partners and stakeholders from multiple sectors to create, expand, and improve systems and services for young people ages 16­ to 24 who are disconnected from education and employment or have been involved in child welfare or justice systems. Cal provided oversite for Saginaw Valley State University's King Chavez Parks (KCP) 4S PASS initiative, which focuses on supporting first-generation college students. Cal also supports the university's local community engagement efforts by successfully implementing the Civic and Urban Partnership for Student Success scholarship initiative. He is trained as a Career Development Facilitator through the Nation Career Development Association (NCDA).
