About Cara Manning

Whilst I was born in Australia my family moved to Singapore when I was 2 years of age and then to Hong Kong a short time later; where I grew up. I returned to Australia in 2008 to undertake tertiary studies and currently reside in Brisbane. I completed my Year 12, High School Certificate in 2007 at the Australian International School Hong Kong. After finishing high school, I immediately volunteered around the school and continued to help out every holiday. I often took on contract positions for short periods of time when staff were either on vacation or positions were yet to be filled. This included reception duties, data entry, working with databases, excel spreadsheets, and many other administrative duties and classroom assistant work. My overseas upbringing broadened my horizons and has given me a greater understanding of the world around me, something I consider myself very lucky to have had. These experiences my upbringing has afforded me assist in my everyday life; helping me to be a more considerate friend and colleague and have given me a greater perceptive when dealing with and understanding costumers and their needs. I am hardworking, reliable, well organised and prepared for my job. I am a keen learner, always ready to perfect new skills and take on extra responsibility when required. I also pride myself on having a good work ethic and sense of fair play. I chose to be involved in various community service opportunities throughout my schooling years and continue to participate in charity activities when I can. I consider myself to be a caring, involved, enthusiastic and committed person; as well as a team-player.
