About Carolin Warnecke

I’m a trained Biochemist with a PhD in Neuroscience. My journey in science has always been driven by my fascination and curiosity for biological mechanisms. During my graduate studies I focused on questions in RNA biology and molecular biology. In my current PhD project, I am investigating neurocircuits involved in learning and memory in Drosophila. I always enjoy to pursue new questions and to learn new techniques. Throughout my training, I've had the privilege of working with diverse biological systems, ranging from bacterial cultures and phages to cell cultures and whole organisms like zebrafish, C. elegans, and fruit flies. I find fulfillment by working in inspiring teams joining forces to tackle complex scientific questions.
