Background

About Caroline Maxon

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I majored in Economics and Environmental Science on the Quantitative Energy Systems track with a minor in Marine Sciences. My passion for nature was born from my childhood experiences growing up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The interest I have in sustainability came about after I traveled to Costa Rica with an educational program. While there, I saw first-hand small-scale climate change mitigation practices in action. Since attending UNC, I have become interested in consumer motivators and monetary policy. In my future career, I intend to work with a company or organization that prioritizes the health of our planet. I am interested in pursuing a position where I can help individuals or businesses change their consumer or production practices to be more efficient. My motivation behind this career interest is to prevent the generation of wasteful excess via production avenues that result in high pollution.
