About Caroline Pickard

When I started out as a DEI trainer the most useful lesson I learnt was "the data is in the room". In every session I lead my aim is to give the participants the floor, and guide them to discover and learn in a safe - and sometimes uncomfortable - environment. I'm now a seasoned facilitator and trainer in inclusion, diversity, equity and culture. I partner and collaborate with organisations and institutions across the DEI space, and stepping out of my comfort zone is part of my daily work. I'm a Consultant to Catalyst in the Benelux, and work with them to expand opportunities for women and business across the world. I facilitate the Catalyst learning programmes MARC, the Future of Work, and Learning for Equity and Inclusion. I regularly partner with Human Centric, a boutique organisation specialised in developing people and organisations through (team)coaching, training & consultancy. Through my work as an external vertouwenspersoon / confidential advisor I'm well-placed to deliver their Active Bystander training programmes, both in Dutch and English. I'm a Facilitator for Talent Naar de Top in the Netherlands, an organisation which is mission-driven to make diversity and inclusion the norm. Talent Naar de Top supports organisations through their Charter, their Community and by providing training and advisory services. I'm also an experienced trainer and examiner of Business English, Teaching in English and Academic English. My educational experience forms the basis of my facilitation work: it's where I realised that you can learn anything from a book, but trying it out in real-life enhances the experience beyond measure.
