About Carolyn Schuster

As a seasoned veteran of the music industry, I have spent the past 20+ years immersed in the world of Top 40 Radio. My love for what I do has never waned, and radio continues to keep me “Forever Young.” Interestingly, despite my extensive career in radio, I have never been “On Air.” Instead, I discovered my passion behind the scenes.I began my journey in Radio Promotions, which included driving a Radio Disney Van, and over time, I transitioned to my current role as an Assistant Format Coordinator at iHeartMedia. In this position, I have delved into the intricate programming and technical reports that make radio tick. Through these diverse experiences, I have gained a wealth of knowledge in an industry that evolves as rapidly as the Number One Song.In my current position, I am an Assistant Format Coordinator at Mediabase 24/7, a music monitoring service that tracks radio airplay for chart information and serves as a valuable division of iHeartMedia. My role involves assisting other format coordinators and handling my own day-to-day tasks in the Top 40 format. These tasks include creating daily technical reports, researching unidentified and new music, and contributing to major events like the iHeartRadio Music Festival.Additionally, as a remote field worker, I have honed many valuable skills, including self-motivation, communication, time management, adaptability, and being a self-starter.And just to spice things up, in my spare time, I coordinate and teach a dance fitness class at a local community athletic center. There is joy in work. There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something. – Henry Ford
