About Carrie Foligno

I am a results-driven collaborative professional with extensive experience in Business Operation areas of Project Management, Process Ownership, Business Analysis and Customer Service. I have led multiple project teams with a proven record of productivity, quality and integrity working collaboratively with all levels of an organization. I have demonstrated effective leadership through planning project team meetings, setting team goals, defining business requirements, creating training and communication materials for internal and external customers with successful project roll-outs. In addition to my professional life, I am a co-chair of a parent support group called "Next Steps" that has been in existence since 2011. Next Steps includes over 30 plus parents, caregivers and guardians of children with a variety of mental health and special needs of all ages. This group provides parents with a safe, comfortable environment to vent their frustrations, challenges, fears, knowledge and positive experiences. I coordinate the meetings bringing in educational speakers from the State of CT, school system, therapists, psychologists, emergency staff and financial planning to help educate and support parents. I have expanded Next Steps creating two unified social groups within my town's middle and high schools to provide children of all disabilities a safe environment to enhance their social skills, life skills, be part of a group and expand their experiences with typical peer role models.
