About Casey Wright
Working to shine a spotlight on the human side of oral health care and dental education. I am a clinical health psychologist by training but play in the sandbox of “behavioral dentistry”. Earned a PhD from West Virginia University, completed a residency in behavioral medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and was a faculty member at Marquette University School of Dentistry before arriving at PNWU. My broad scholarly expertise is in biopsychosocial mechanisms of oral health and disease and their applications to public health. I also earned a master’s degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology. As a result, I am passionate about improving the teaching and learning of behavioral and social sciences, as well as the quality and accessibility of dental education as a whole.
