About Casey Wright

I am a strategic thinker who is passionate about the potential to do good in the world through health professions education. With a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Instructional Psychology and Technology, I get jazzed when leading transformative multidisciplinary initiatives that reimagine how health professionals learn, collaborate, and care. As a passionate advocate for humanistic learning, I care a lot about cultivating meaningful relationships and partnerships. I find satisfaction in designing educational experiences and developing institutional policies that center on empathy, equity, and innovation while also maintaining rigor. My experience is grounded in a deep understanding of the person-centered factors that shape health and wellness outcomes—insights that inform both my research and my approach to overall systems change. I have the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse groups which allows for creativity, trust, shared purpose, and enables interdisciplinary groups to co-create impactful solutions. This approach has been instrumental in my involvement leading or participating in grant-funded projects supported by the NIH, U.S. Department of Education, and CareQuest Institute for Oral Health. Currently, I am a faculty member at the innovative PNWU School of Dental Medicine where I steward the development of our social and behavioral sciences curriculum as well as the School's overall research program. I also am co-leading the development of a groundbreaking open educational resource (OER) repository for dental and healthcare education—an initiative that reflects my commitment to access, excellence, and long-term impact. Whether through instructional/curriculum design efforts, research, or shaping organizational policy, I strive to bring clarity, compassion, and strategic insight to every endeavor. My aim is to educate, lead, and care in ways that are more human-centered and that anticipates the future. I’m always open to connecting with collaborators, educators, and innovators who share a vision for more compassionate, inclusive, and effective learning and care systems.
