About Cassie Redlich

I am a mental health specialist with a particular interest in implementation research and practice, and experience working across clinical, technical and advisory roles in Australia and internationally. I have a social work degree and a master’s degree in public health, and am currently undertaking a DrPH at Johns Hopkins University (Implementation Science concentration). I have a background working as a clinician in community-based youth mental health, and have worked across a wide range of program areas including early psychosis and intensive outreach for young people with complex needs. For the past decade I have worked in mental health policy development, education and training, service development and implementation support roles for Australian and international organisations including the World Health Organization (Europe and Western Pacific Regional Offices, Ukraine Country Office and HQ), headspace National and Orygen (Australia). I have also worked as a Senior Advisor for the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI) where I led and supported projects for government, non-government and UN agency clients aimed at narrowing the evidence-to-practice gap for communities facing adversity through high quality, active implementation support and rigorous evaluation. I am driven by a desire to see evidence-informed practice and innovative models of mental health care - designed with the people they are intended to support - implemented equitably and with high quality so that they can reach individuals and communities for positive impact. I work towards this by seeking out ways to embed greater rigour, process and accountability into intervention design and implementation and working with service providers to address barriers and build motivation for making and sustaining change.
