About Catherine Conlin

As a senior level speech language pathologist and educational consultant, I've dedicated my career to improving the quality of life of underserved and neurodiverse individuals. My commitment to advocacy for individuals with disabilities is evident in my professional and philanthropic work and has included founding and directing a private practice serving children and adults with neurogenic disorders, designing and facilitating trainings nationally, and creating professional development courses and programs for educators, specialists and administrators in public, private and charter schools. With demonstrated excellence in treating communication disorders and developing literacy skills to grade level and above in more than 1500 children and adults with one-on-one instruction, I bring passion and skill to speech pathology and the education leadership and management industry. As Clinical Director, Interim Head of School and Senior Supervising Clinician, I have demonstrated leadership and organizational management in healthcare and education settings. I've been honored by training clinicians, teachers, education leaders, special educators and administrators in the science of reading and science of brain organization for individualizing student instruction and optimal outcomes in literacy. Publications in Q1 high impact academic journals demonstrate my written communication skills and ongoing scholarship and interest in evidence-based practices. With a PhD focused in Reading Development and Communication Sciences and Disorder from Florida State University and the Florida Center for Reading Research, I bring extensive training and research skills to my work as a clinician and educator.
