About Catherine Murphy
Currently coming to the end of my contract as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanobioengineering Group at IBEC currently studying mechanisms of metastasis in paediatric cancers. Very interested in the use of bioengineering for in vitro cancer modelling, and interactions of the tumour immune microenvironment. My PhD in the Cancer Bioengineering Group in RCSI combined these disciplines where I examined neuroblastoma-macrophage interactions in a 3D scaffold model. Also super interested in the world of science communication, and side-hustling as a freelance yoga teacher - life is all about balance!
