About Catherine Wheller

I am an emerging leader, communicator, facilitator and strategic thinker who has worked in multi-stakeholder settings on global health, ethics of AI, Earth Sciences and STEM workforce participation. My passion lies in widening participation in education and building communities, and I currently work as a Communications Manager at the National Youth Science Forum to connect young people with science & technology study, training and careers. I trained as an Earth Scientist specialising in investigating the history of the Earth’s crust (with a particular soft spot for southern Madagascar). This knack for telling a story through scientific discovery extended beyond my research and I have since helped organisations such as the Natural History Museum and UCL in London communicate their outcomes to multiple stakeholders, including the WHO and consumers. I am a competent analyst across a variety of scientific fields including emerging technologies; global health; and earth systems.
