About Cathy Click

What drives me is civic engagement. At Community Builders this means securing the funding necessary to continue our work throughout the mountain west, providing training and resources creating healthy and sustainable economies. I am a big picture thinker who is able to take a project from incubation to completion. At the BRL, I identified unique opportunities to bring experiences to patrons, including the First Ever Camp Out on library grounds with camping equipment funded by an Outdoor Equity Grant of the Colorado Division of Parks & Wildlife. Co-founding a restaurant from the ground up and running it successfully for 28 years in our mountain town was extraordinarily satisfying. My volunteer work on Town of Basalt citizen boards resulted in collaborations with Habitat for Humanity affordable housing projects, festivals celebrating cherished local traditions, and the creation of a park on the banks of our gold medal river. Before moving back to the Roaring Fork Valley, I spent nine years living and working in New York City as a development and project administrator for non profit organizations. These organizations received funding from regional and federal granting programs including the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Community Trust, New York State Council on the Arts, and individual donors.
