About Chandan Raj

A professional with academic background, Master of Science (M. Sc) in Microbiology from University of Madras in 2008 and more than 13 years of experience in fermentation based projects in India & China. I set-up, lab operation and industrial scale fermentors for production, Understand strain selection for industrial production and running, maintaining and troubleshooting of bench-scale and industrial scale fermentors with of a commercial mindset. I design, conduct, execute, analyze experiments for basic and advance intermediate of steroid (Betamethasone Base, Dexamethasone Base Hydrocortisone Base, Prednisolone Base etc.) manufacturing such as 9-OH AD, Sito-Lactone, AD, ADD, BA etc. which are commercially important for production of various derivatives of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Scale up trials are one of most important aspect in commercialization of any new project, It is considered very critical specially for fermentation based projects. I am Proficient in troubleshooting for fermentation up stream as well as downstream process thereby enhancing productivity. Involve in new fermenter installation and commissioning, URS preparation, Fermenter equipment validation and testing, Site Installation Test (SIT), etc. I am effective communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. Handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity.
