About Cherrelle Druppers

With over 8 years of experience in international development, education, and arts, I co-founded and lead ChezaCheza Dance Foundation, a pioneering community-based arts and health intervention. At ChezaCheza, we utilize dance as a powerful medium to instill confidence, foster well-being, and alleviate stress among young minds. As the Director of ChezaCheza, I am responsible for strategic leadership, program development, and partnership building. I oversee the implementation of our dance therapy curriculum, which we spread by identifying and training local youths to become community-based dance coaches who facilitate weekly sessions that foster coping skills, self-confidence, and joy among participants. I am passionate about using dance as a catalyst for positive change in underserved communities. I believe in the transformative power of movement, and I am dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance the well-being and resilience of children and young adults. My vision is to expand ChezaCheza's reach and influence, and to inspire others to join me on this journey of using dance as a medium to express and thrive.
