About Chiara Passoni
I earned a Ph.D. at the University of Brescia in 2016, and I am a research fellow in structural engineering at the University of Bergamo since 2013. In 2015 I spent 6 months at the University of Toronto. My main research interests are: seismic behaviour of masonry and RC structures; holistic rehabilitation of existing buildings targeting minimum environmental footprint, structural safety and resilience; innovative structural design methods based on Performance Based and Life Cycle Thinking approaches; sustainability in the construction industry; structural damping; evaluation of structural performance decay and residual life of existing buildings. My other interests are innovation and entrepreneurship.
