About Chris Cerda

Chris graduated in Spring of 2018 as a full-time student at FAU earning a degree in Marketing and in Economics. He is a determined and passionate businessman. Chris ran a start-up called Kanyu in his spare time and has funded it himself with money he earned from part-time jobs since fall of 2014. He sought out and contracted with his development team, and paid all of his expenses as he went and had no debt. He believes his entrepreneurial spirit derives from his father, Gilberto, a successful real-estate developer who ran his own business in Florida for over 40 years. Growing up he saw first hand the benefits of hard work and commitment. Not squandering his private education Chris earned academic scholarships offsetting nearly 75% of his tuition costs. Additionally, Chris has given back to his community by logging over 400 community service hours throughout his high school years at Archbishop McCarthy High School mostly in various leadership roles, as well as helping kids in need. Chris is a member of Future Business Leaders of America.
