About Chris Fitzpatrick

for the live service of EA Sports WRC and strong supporter of developing talent. With nearly 13 years of game development experience I love bringing ideas to life through tech and leveraging that knowledge to support upcoming university and industry talent, my background is physics for games and using it to bring interactivity to a game world along with supporting the tools to facilitate the content creators. I’ve also worked at the game level, building screens, game flow and logic and at the lower levels, working on low-level optimisations and debugging some of the trickier bugs projects encounter, I try to encourage as much communication and support as possible, creating safe spaces to raise issues with openness and empowering and trusting the team to own their areas of responsibility, at all levels. I’ve also found a knack for mediating trickier discussions, and am able to step back to observe more of the picture and suggest positive routes forward, I’ve supported university students and industry colleagues for most of my career, focusing mostly on University of Staffordshire as an alumni at their industry events and talks, such as GradEx and taking part in their Industry Consultation Panel. I’ve also officially and unofficially mentored students, interns and colleagues 1 to 1 for much of this time.A range of my old university demos can be found at:
