About Chris Haller

I am a Software Quality Engineer with experience in test tooling and automation, quality assurance strategy, software testing, agile methodologies, programming, and continuous learning. I place a high value on collaboration, hard work, and clear communication. I have spent the last three years as a QA Automation Engineer for a company that produces SaaS software for K-12 school food management and nutrition services. During much of this time, I served as the sole full time QA resource for the two teams on which I worked, and eventually I served as a Quality Lead and only QA resource for the company. While this provided plenty of challenges, I have enjoyed the role, collaborating frequently with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Project Managers to help craft and execute a QA strategy that improved product stability and quality. More importantly, I have taken satisfaction from providing a better experience for customers. While I am dedicated to my work, I also enjoy studying software engineering - particularly quality assurance and engineering topics - and working on interesting side projects. When I'm not on a computer, I play the trombone and enjoy listening to music. I'm also an avid outdoors person who hikes, cycles, kayaks, and plays tennis here in the Pacific Northwest.
