About Chris Tucker

I am currently seeking a career within the legal sector. I have recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of the West England with the aim to progress via LPC or ILEX. I take pride in my work and have never been satisfied with just being considered competent at my job. I always seek to excel. Although I am focused on my own individual achievements, these mean little unless I am part of a team with similar goals. I would rather be a part of high performing team than an individual high performer. I take an interest in those around me and make a positive contribution to a team. I can work well on my own but I am also able to motivate those around me so that as team we all perform to the best of our ability.I have developed skills that are easily transferable to working in different roles. These include communication and presentation skills, conflict resolution/mediation, networking, attention to detail, interview skills, coaching and development techniques, negotiation as well as mental resilience and emotional intelligence.I am able to communicate effectively and have delivered training packages to large groups. In my current role I am the last point of contact before customers take their complaint to the regulator and I am often dealing with customers from varied backgrounds including the offices of MP’s. The consequences of mismanaging their case or any miscommunication can be severe.I take a great deal of personal satisfaction in developing myself professionally. I will always take up an opportunity to learn or develop a new skill. To help with my work as a Union Rep I achieved a qualification in workplace mediation and conflict resolution.In my personal life I like to keep active and have been training in American Kenpo Karate for over three years where I have steadily progressed, I also enjoy creative writing and painting.
