Mr. Benjamin is also a Certified Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator with the prestigious dispute resolution firm of Salmon & Dulberg and he's been listed on the panel of mediators and arbitrators for American Arbitration Association, and FL Department of Financial Services and Financial Industry Regulation Agency (FINRA). Mr. Benjamin's wide knowledge of various legal areas, easy going demeanor, and great sense of justice and fairness made him an excellent jurist as he served on the Bench of the Traffic Court for the County Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and as Special Magistrate for various municipalities around South Florida. He has served as president of Miaim-Dade's Black Lawyers' Association (The Wilkie D. Fergson, Jr. Bar Association) and the Florida Muslim Bar Association. He has also co-chaired the Miami-Dade County Bar Association's Solo/Small Firm Committee. He has represented dozens of indigent clients through Dade County Legalaid's Put Something Back Program. His commitment to service and community led to his 2020 election as State Representative (District 107)- making him the first Muslim elected to the FL Legislature.
