Hi, my name is Christopher Camenzuli. Originally from Alberta Canada, I have extensive experience working in Northern Canada including 12 years in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and 8 years in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. With a track record of 18+ years of experience in trauma-informed care and front-line community support services, I possess exceptional communication, crisis management, and conflict resolution skills. In my present roles, I'm the Yukon Regional Emergency Manager with the Canadian Red Cross as well I currently serve as a Master Corporal in the Canadian Rangers, where I lead our Junior Canadian Rangers Youth Program. Previously I have worked as a Treatment Support Worker for the Yukon Government Department of Health and Social Services, Mental Health & Substance Use Services branch. My extensive experience in the North, including Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, has provided me with a unique perspective on community work with youth and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, including First Nations, Inuit, and Inuvialuit peoples. In addition to my work in trauma-informed care, I've also worked in various roles in Emergency Management, including serving as the Ops Chief for the Yukon Government Health Emergency Operations Centre. I've been a vital part of the Emergency Support Services team, contributing to logistics and the rapid deployment team during the Covid Pandemic and during Fire/Flood seasons. Looking ahead, my aspiration is to continue growing as a leader within Emergency Management and within the Red Cross, collaborating with a diverse team of passionate first responders and humanitarians. In my free time, you can find me exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Yukon, whether it's through outdoor activities or engaging in my local communities.
