About Christopher Grady

I am a political scientist interested in interventions to improve human well-being, causal inference, and manifestations of commitment problems and collective action problems. I was formerly Senior Metrics Advisor at USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Rights, and Governance (DRG), where I worked to improve the effectiveness of international development programs. I led efforts to integrate research into USAID programs, managed impact evaluations, and served as a top-level research and evaluation expert for USAID. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, International Foundation for Electoral Systems, and Evidence in Governance and Politics. It has been published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, World Development, and the Sage Handbooks. And it has been featured in the National Geographic.
