Background

About Christopher Kobel

I have a diverse range of experience in Middle East regional and country-specific political analysis, security and economic risk, and business advisory. Engagements have included regulatory policy in Saudia Arabia, Gulf political tensions and their impact on businesses, and oil and gas industry risk analysis in Jordan and Algeria. Supervisors and colleagues have described me as a strong writer and analyst who demonstrates an extensive knowledge of the Middle East and possesses a collaborative and intellectually curious nature. I am mindful of future risks, challenges, and opportunities related to, for example, worldwide economic transformation efforts, shifting great power relations and tensions, increasing economic inequality both within and between nations, and accelerating technological advancement. I find this field endlessly fascinating, and am a constant consumer of current events, the latest developments in academia, and expert opinion on the broader geopolitical, social, and economic forces that impact businesses, governments, and organizations worldwide.
