I'm a seasoned leader, legal advisor, and guide with broad experience across a range of business and legal disciplines in U.S. and international matters and an experienced speaker/lecturer in higher educational and professional organization settings. I've successfully built (or rebuilt) and led in-house teams and approaches in a number of different areas of the law. I like to fix things. I've demonstrated an ability to lead organizations in time of great change and crisis, helping separate what is actionable and constructive from what is distracting and false, and then making positive change. I have decades of actual, demonstrated results in attracting and retaining diverse team members, leading organizational change for inclusion, and keeping the pressure on to challenge biases and remove barriers. My track record runs the gamut of legal areas but my heart is in everything sport and brand related - sport governance, intellectual property, and especially marketing, sponsorships, and brand protection. I have been a frequent speaker on these topics. I specialize in delivering results as a 'No Ego' legal and business partner. I measure success in terms of the success of my clients, not my own title or recognition. I want to make stars out of those who work for me, those who work with me, and those I work for. My career has been defined by seeking and attacking new challenges and by being an instigator of change rather than a preserver of the status quo. My accumulated experiences and perspective enable me to offer pragmatic and useable advice, lateral thinking, and leadership in taking on appropriate risks while avoiding unwise and needless ones. But I'm not done learning yet.
