About Christopher Otoole

Over twenty-five years of experience in trade policy at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and Global Affairs Canada. Includes supporting or leading several tables at bilateral and multilateral negotiations like the Canada-EFTA FTA, the WTO NAMA negotiations, the conclusion of the revised WTO Government Procurement Agreement, the trade and environment provisions in the CETA and TPP, APEC and WTO negotiations related to environmental goods, and most recently the TBT and Good Regulatory Practices Chapters as well as various sectoral annexes for the CUSMA. Extensive experience in consulting with stakeholders; efforts to build support for Canadian positions and proposals among other WTO Member delegations, extensive consultations with Canadian government ministries and sub-federal governments, and directing an extensive Canadian public consultation and engagement process. Currently on assignment to the Canadian Mission to the European Union In Brussels.
