Currently holding down the fort as Parliament Hill Office Manager for MP Patty Hajdu, I keep the Ottawa side of things running smoothly — from scheduling and stakeholder wrangling to making sure nothing (and no one) falls through the cracks. Think of me as the air traffic controller of a busy parliamentary office… with fewer planes, but just as many moving parts. Before life on the Hill, I was deep in the trenches as a Constituency Case Manager in Thunder Bay, where I helped over 900 constituents navigate federal systems — whether it was immigration, pensions, or pandemic-era challenges. That experience gave me a front-row seat to how policy meets people, and why empathy and efficiency go hand in hand. Born and raised in Sabah, Malaysia, I landed in Thunder Bay in 2017 as an international student. Since then, I’ve worn many hats: International Student Assistant, Quarantine Support Coordinator, and community connector (read: unofficial tour guide for confused newcomers and proud ambassador of Thunder Bay winters). I’m also fluent in seven languages — English, Mandarin, Malay, Indonesian, Cantonese, Hakka, and French — and can code-switch in more ways than one. As of Fall 2025, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in International Affairs, with a focus on Canada’s evolving role in the Asia Pacific. Whether it’s briefing MPs, translating bureaucracy into human terms, or imagining smarter foreign policy, I’m driven by one goal: connecting people to systems and communities to the world.
