About Claire Rogerson
I’ve worked within the health and sport industry for over 10 years. Started off my career as a tennis coach at 17 then went onto complete a degree in Sports Coaching and Development from Glasgow University. After graduating I worked for NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health Promotion team within the Child Health weight team. My role was to encourage young people and their families to lead a healthy lifestyle by teaching them about the importance of nutrition and physical activity. Currently Im an Active Schools Coordinator for South Ayrshire Council. I work in the Girvan Cluster working with Girvan Academy and 7 of the cluster primaries. Over the last 5 years I have been developing a sustainable extra curricular & community programme for the Girvan area and rural villages. I have a keen interest in health, fitness and nutrition and have recently started up a fitness business.
