Background

About Claire Wickens

A conscientious and professional Employment Coach who has worked within the Northumberland County Council Employability Team for over seven years. Before having a career break, I worked in human resources and was a HR Manager for Aunt Bessie's, a food manufacturing company in Yorkshire where I was responsible for recruitment and selection, training and development and HR policies and procedures. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies with a specialism in HR. I am also CIPD qualified. I enjoy helping people to prepare for and achieve employment and do so in a number of ways; confidence building, improving their CV’s, cover letters and job applications, interview support or by signposting them to the most appropriate training provision or health and wellbeing support. I am passionate about moving people forward and supporting individuals to follow their aspirations. I can always be relied upon to go the extra mile to meet the needs of the service.
