About Claudia Holt

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology Studies) from the University of Newcastle and am now focused on completing the law component of my combined degree. I aspire to pursue a career in Humanitarian Law, where I will promote equity, access to justice, and empowerment for marginalised individuals. During my studies, I was honoured to receive the Ma & Morley Scholarship, the flagship scholarship of the University of Newcastle. This experience has strengthened my commitment to promoting equity and justice and provided opportunities to engage with global issues. In 2025, I was awarded the New Colombo Plan Scholarship. This incredible opportunity will allow me to travel to Indonesia in July 2025, where I will undertake a semester of study at Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya. While in Indonesia, I will also complete language training and an internship specialising in Humanitarian Law. This experience will provide invaluable insights into the Indonesian legal system and strengthen ties between Australia and Indonesia. Alongside my studies, I work Part-Time as an Assistant Consultant at FiveSeven Consulting, where I support industries such as aged care, manufacturing, and local government. This role has honed my conflict resolution skills, collaboration, and organisational skills while deepening my understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions. It has also allowed me to grow personally and professionally, further equipping me to navigate complex environments and advocate effectively for meaningful change.
