About Coco Clements

Learning is my passion, knowledge my goal, and language my love. My enthusiasm, creativity, and versatility of trade have given me many opportunities to work with some wonderful and talented individuals, in many different roles and fields. My many interests have lead me to become invested and gain skills in many different areas of expertise via several university courses in practical application as well as analytical thinking. During my BA in English Language (Nijmegen) and my MA in Film and Literature (York), I was able to fully put my fascination for theatre and the magic of words into my work for a variety of amateur theatre groups. During my college years my experience as a stagehand, stage-manager, and head of art department for these groups only strengthened my ability to support my family's hospitality company ('de Nieuwenhof') as floor manager and PR designer for nearly twelve years. My professional career began with my instatement as a freelancer with a certificate UCL in Subtitling. After nearly two years of on-and-off localization work, I decided to take the biggest leap yet: an intense Introductory course to Computer science and programming (MIT) and a two-month-long IT bootcamp at Createment (CodeNomads and OpenValue) to finally become a IT trainee at Transavia! But however broad my interests, I will always hold dear those things I loved first and foremost: language, stories and design, in all their various forms.
