About D. Brent Morris

Thirty years of demonstrated leadership experience as a U.S. Air Force officer and educator. Led and mentored civilians, military, contractors, and students throughout my career in peace and combat. Throughout, supervisors cited my performance as exceptional, impactful, and innovative while peers, supervisees, and students sought me for mentoring, mediation, and professional development. Technically educated and trained to manage and lead national and international-level programs in dynamic, stressful situations with funding uncertainties. Unique blend of teaching, faculty development, leadership experience, subject matter expertise, and government funding and acquisition management certifications are ideal to serve and lead interagency efforts in support of U.S. programs and international cooperation with respect to research and development and science and technology collaborations as well as, teaching, advising and operations of academic institutions. Proven ability to engage closely with government executives, staff, interagency partners, National Laboratories, and operational units to not just fill technical gaps or fulfill requirements, but to anticipate and lead toward technical solutions, programs, and processes and actual transition of advanced capabilities.
