About Daan Kabel

Experienced university teacher and researcher in the area of Quality Management. I actively contribute to knowledge development both within and outside of academia, focusing on the practices and models that successfully drive quality improvement. Quality improvements should be data-driven, structured, and based on the needs and requirements of customers. This includes strategy, development, and mapping of business activities, as well as measurement and monitoring. Each year, I coach industrial engineering students and their projects at external organizations. I am also pleased to supervise students and organizations that wish to incorporate quality management into their everyday activities. My research focuses on how innovation occurs within business ecosystems, exploring how organizations manage competing and sometimes conflicting ideas during the innovation process. Outside of my academic career, I enjoy working out, hiking, and traveling.
