I noticed that small charities needed support to manage their social media to maintain their charitable income. I targeted organisations in the VAWG sector as my employment history and personal experience made this the natural choice. I have worked with multiple organisations within the sector, including Leeds Women’s Aid/Women Friendly Leeds/ Women’s Lives Leeds, I Choose Freedom – Formerly RBWA The First Step and Better Lives Training. The role I perform for these organisations exemplifies my ability to create strong working relationships built on trust and understanding of issues around Domestic Abuse and VAWG. I create and post social media content, maintained websites, design and disseminate newsletters and provide administrative support. Having access as the “Voice of the Organisation” via social media is a huge responsibility and one I treat with utmost care and professionalism. I was also involved in the rebrand of Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid, creating marketing literature and shaping their website. “Daisy’s passion and dedication to the women’s sector is obvious and is demonstrated in her thoughtful and influential social media content. She needs little direction, and can create interesting posts, informative newsletters, eye catching graphics and a wide range of other communications to promote the Women Friendly Leeds movement. We’ve loved working with Daisy, who has been a key driver of the growth of the movement, and her positive ‘can do’ attitude has been a real joy.” I Choose Freedom- Project manager – Creation of new refuge May 2020- August 2020 Project Management duties included: Managing a large workforce of volunteers and tradespeople. Working with a budget of to furnish and decorate building Orrganisation of the refurbishment, repair, and redecorating. Safety and fire management - overseeing the install of safeguarding equipment, panic alarms and fire prevention.
