October 27, 2020 Sir/Ma'am, My name is Dalton Knight, I am a family man and I enjoy getting to know coworkers in order to build good moral relationships to establish optimal teamwork and a sound work environment. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to look at my resume. I have a B.S. degree in Health Sciences from the University of Texas at Tyler and an associates of science degree from Tyler Junior College. I spent almost three years with the local health department educating local business owners, and the public on various public health topics. I shifted gears in 2019 to better help support my family. I spent 8 months working/ receiving on the job training as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry to supervise and lead team members utilizing Total Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Lean, and Six Sigma practices. I was promoted out of the trainee program at Sanderson Farms INC. after only 8 months and took the largest and most vital supervisory role at the Tyler Processing plant. Continuous improvement is vital in staying ahead of the competition and finding new innovative ways to do so are the key to a successful business relationship with all/potential customers. I hope to have the opportunity to join your team and being a vital asset to you and your organization. As a Marine and a Veteran I have mentored and lead Marines and Veterans to be successful in not only life but in their careers. As a veteran I pride myself in being the absolute best at my job. I strive everyday not only to set a good example for my colleagues but also my family. I have worked in various capacities internationally gaining knowledge and life experience that I use everyday to better myself and the individuals around me. I have been deployed to Afghanistan, Japan, Korea, and I have played vital roles in leading Marines and learning different cultures. I have had the honor of playing vital roles in local veteran organizations to build relationships and bring the veteran community together.
