About Dan Taca

My interest in the legal profession began during my childhood and developed from my passion for Roman literature, especially Cicero’s writings. This passion reached its peak when I completed my Master of Laws (with CPE incorporated) from London South Bank University, with a focus on Contract Law and Arbitration. I gained much pleasure and development from writing my dissertation on Arbitration and Contract Law, reading international instruments and arbitral decisions and this enabled me to develop an international perspective on how commercial disputes are arbitrated / judged in a variety of jurisdictions and how contract drafting can lead to various outcomes in those jurisdictions. Starting as an extra-curricular module, I progressively incorporated it (beginning with “Talking Family Law” and “The Irwin Mitchel” podcasts) into my area of expertise. I followed and participated in webinars organized by the “Stowe Family Law” firm and consulted family law textbooks. I would really enjoy working in this sphere on a pro-bono basis which would offer me great personal satisfaction to contribute to the welfare of society by helping conflicting couples / marriages to solve differences amicably whilst ensuring the interests of vulnerable parties are not put at risk (e.g. children). Studying at London South Bank University enabled me to acquire vital skills which I apply in my current job and would look forward to using and developing further in my future legal career. Additional skills that I can offer include research and analysis, communication and attention to detail. The experience and knowledge, which I acquired at London South Bank University, served as a threshold to the door of my future career. My readiness to overcome this threshold and to open the door to the profession I want is evident in my drive for new legal experiences and thirst for deepening my knowledge. I look forward to legal internships and / or pro-bono activities where I could demonstrate this.
