About Dana Brown

There is a short poem by Emily Dickinson:"A word is dead when it is said / Some say -/ I say it just begins to live / that day." As a philologist, linguist and writer I live by the truth of this short poem. I make it my mission to maximise the power of words through relevant writing and meaningful communication, and to always use them kindly and truthfully. I am the Head of Vendor Management at Lingo24 Translations, whose tagline is "Words matter, in every language", and I lead a team of Vendor Managers to find the appropriately talented linguists to handle the business' translation needs from any source into any target language, through whatever challenges this might throw at us. Change, motivation, leadership, consultancy, teamwork, communication - words that describe the core of what I do with pride. When I am not working I read and run a book club, write fiction, poetry and articles and cuddle or play with my cat, depending on the mood he is in. Summers will find my partner and I chasing the sun either in Scotland or on a Greek beach.
