About Dana Ortiz

Oregon State University alumni with an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Fitness and Nutrition. Former student-athlete at both the University of Florida and Oregon State University. I am passionate about helping develop young people in athletics and life skills. My goals are to work with young athletes in strength and conditioning and to coach within the sport of volleyball. I aim to encourage athletes in pursuit of their goals and aspirations while also teaching them valuable life skills, such as work ethic, leadership, goal setting, and communication. I have experience in the strength training field, both online and in person training. I have worked with over 600 athletes throughout my career in team and individual settings. I have continued my education with certifications through the NSPA, reading, and work experience. I completed training within OSU in the Sports Performance Center with D1 student-athletes. I played and learned under Oregon State Women's Volleyball coach Terry Lyskevych, Mark Barnard, and Emily Hizah-Kohan, along with University of Florida Coaches Mary Wise and Dave Boos.
