Dr. Daniel Branagan is currently a Subject Matter Expert (SME) employed at Tenica and Associates LLC working directly with the Office of Technology Evaluation (OTE) of the Bureau Of Industry and Security (BIS) for the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) in Washington DC. Previously, Dr. Branagan was President and CEO of Force Multiplying Strategies LLC and worked as an independent consultant. Dr. Daniel Branagan has worked at USDOE National Laboratories (Staff Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) USDOE and Associate Scientist at Ames Laboratory USDOE), in academia (Adjunct Professor at University of Idaho, Advisory Board Member at Iowa State University, Boise State University, and Michigan Technological University), and in industry (Lab Assistant Oy Tampella Ab and Chief Technical Officer at The NanoSteel Company). Dr. Branagan has been published in numerous (>80) peer reviewed scientific journals and trade magazines resulting in more than 1500 research citations. He has spoken, been invited to speak, and provided keynotes at numerous national and international conferences including being associated with over 90 formal presentations along with 5 professional symposiums organized. As a Visionary, Dr. Branagan directed novel research resulting in new scientific discoveries and technological breakthroughs in various aspects of materials nanotechnology. His research and guidance led to the creation of a vast intellectual property portfolio and he is named on >225 US and International patents granted and with >100 patent pending. As an Entrepreneur, Dr. Branagan has helped transition these scientific breakthroughs into technology through IP licenses and the formation of multiple high tech material companies in various fields.
