Serves as a physical and technical security expert to Ambassadors and Regional Security Officers and professionally advise them on the capabilities and best employment of an MSAU element- Organized and coordinated, with Regional Security Officers to conduct on-site surveys of U.S. diplomatic facilities and residential compounds, identifying a wide array of security vulnerabilities while researching, evaluating and providing proposals, policies and procedures to mitigate risk at 10 U.S. Embassies and over 25 diplomatic facilities- Works collectively with Ambassadors and Regional Security Officers to tactically employ security augmentation elements in high threat environments while ensuring the element is adhering to laws and regulation of Title 22 Authority- Provides armed internal security and the protection of classified information on overseas visits for The President of The United States, Vice President of The United States and Secretary of State- Analyzes Local Guard Force and Surveillance Detection Team’s capabilities and limitations based on daily routine, laws, regulations, and guidelines in order to best implement an MSAU Augmentation for the overall safety of the diplomatic facility- Exclusively directed to research, evaluate and recommend state-of-the-art security technology and equipment to MSAU Commanding Officer and MCESG Director in order to increase posts safety and security- Frequently presents oral lectures on observation techniques, compound defense, vulnerability, and threat assessment, and various mission-related material to the unit- Developed, analyzed and tracked the Detachments budget of ensuring complete adherence to financial management guidelines- Conducted over 100 internal program assessments on various MSG specific programs ensuring complete adherence to guidelines which have resulted in earning Mission Capable results and Detachment of The Year- Responsible for training and evaluating the unit in advanced firearms applications, Defensive Tactics (DT), Room Entry/ Close Quarter Battle (CQB), suspect apprehension, advanced medical training, tactical communication and the wide array of security technology, devices, and equipment used at diplomatic facilities- Independently lead Marines in the execution of security missions overseas and effectively integrated routine training with the local detachment, local guard force, and surveillance detection team.
