About Daniel Gobits

Making magic happen in projects, training and coaching I currently hold three positions within Amsterdam UMC: project manager, trainer, and coach. In all three of these roles, I enable people to bring out the best in themselves while keeping a close eye on the end goal. The magic in projects happens when the vision of the client becomes reality. This is even more so when the project team members have had the opportunity to grow in personal/professional skills during the project and exceed themselves. I believe that the project manager has a crucial role in making this magic happen by guiding and coaching the team while keeping an eye on the project constraints. As a project manager, I'm focused on results and relationships. I use my skills as trainer and coach to help project team members to bring out the best in themselves. I believe that effective communication is personal and direct. As a project manager I'm responsible for the process, but I'm naturally inquisitive to understand the subject. In any training, the trainer makes the difference between a boring waste of time or a magical journey full of AHA! moments. The course in project management, communication, collaboration and leadership that I teach are intensive and interactive trainings designed to be full of those AHA! moments. My strength as a trainer are to easily find connection with the participants, using illustrative examples, my own experience as a project manager, and my openness and curiosity in the interaction with the participants. My favourite questions to receive are the ones to which I don't know the answer. Those questions encourage a learning state of mind at both the trainer and participant! Everybody who's ever coached a person or has been coached knows the moment when a new insight arises in the coachee. You just see the magic happen. Like all the pieces of a puzzle fall into place all at once. As a coach I'm naturally good at finding connection with my coachees, holding up a mirror to the coachee, creating an open and pleasant atmosphere, and off course guide the coachee in an open, honest, and curious manner.
