About Daniel Hansen

I’m a Canadian Armed Forces veteran who proudly served as a Military Police Officer and Medical Technician. Since transitioning from service, my mission has been clear: support those who’ve worn the uniform—because the battle doesn’t always end when the tour does. Through peer support roles with OSISS and The Burns Way, and as founder of Pets 4 Vets Canada, I help CAF members, RCMP veterans, and their families navigate life after service. Whether it’s matching shelter pets with veterans for companionship or offering judgment-free, anonymous support, I believe in showing up for our community with empathy, lived experience, and zero red tape. I'm also passionate about advocacy, public speaking, mental health awareness, and creating meaningful programs that build connection and purpose. Outside of service and volunteering, I’m a proud dad, coffee enthusiast, and always ready for a good hockey game (go Oilers. most days).
